Fintech's Biggest Names Are Lining Up for Record Valuations: What It Signals

2026 is shaping up to be a landmark year for fintech valuations. Stripe, the global digital payments leader, reached a $159 billion valuation in a February 2026 tender offer, up sharply from $91.5 billion just a year earlier. Its founders have repeatedly stated that an IPO isn't an immediate priority, with analysts now pointing to 2027 or later rather than a listing in 2026 (CNBC, February 2026).
Revolut is following a similar trajectory. After reaching a $75 billion valuation during a secondary share sale in 2025, the company is now reportedly exploring another secondary transaction that could value it at around $115 billion. Several reports also suggest that Revolut sees an eventual IPO valuation of up to $200 billion (Bloomberg, TechCrunch, 2026).

What the money is actually betting on
These valuations aren't just about payments volume or user growth. They're a bet on a specific model: financial infrastructure built AI-native and software-native from day one, designed for real-time operations rather than legacy back-office processes. Stripe and Revolut have both succeeded by rebuilding critical parts of financial infrastructure around modern, real-time software.
At Blueberries, we're applying that same philosophy to a layer that even these leaders still manage largely manually: financial planning and analysis (FP&A). While capital continues to flow into fintech infrastructure, FP&A remains one of the last major finance functions waiting for a truly AI-native platform—one that delivers real-time visibility instead of spreadsheet reconciliation and manual reporting.
The direction of the market is clear. We believe the next major transformation in financial infrastructure will happen at the FP&A layer—and that's exactly the future Blueberries is building.
